The daytime box office opens on Sundays and bank holidays three hours before the start of the performance. The evening box office opens one hour before the beginning of the performance and only sells tickets for the show on the respective evening, there is no advance sale. On Sundays and bank holidays with no performance the box office and ticket hotline is closed.
Advance ticket sale
The advance ticket sale for the following month and the ten subsequent days usually starts at the last Friday of the pre-previous month.
The advance ticket sale of the venue Junges Schauspielhaus starts with the publication of a two-month schedule.
Online ticket sale
You can buy tickets for all the performances by selecting the desired performance from the schedule. Tickets purchased online can either be printed with print@home on your own printer or made available as smart phone tickets (using the apps "Passwallet" or "Wallet"). Online payment is possible either with credit card or by Paypal.
It is also possible to purchase and redeem Wahl-Abos (voucher subscriptions) or gift vouchers online.

Ticket sale at the Hamburg University
At our information booth at the foyer of the Philtower every Wednesday during semester from 12 to 2 pm. Students can buy tickets at a special price of 5 € and get information about our current schedule.
Students are also invited to join the CampusKollektiv and get to know the SchauSpielHaus from the inside!
Our bookshop is located in the stalls. Here you will find program-related literature, media, and other articles for sale. Usually it opens 45 minutes prior to the performance and is still open during an intermission. You may buy tickets, vouchers, and subscriptions there as well.
Evening box office
The evening box office at the Deutsches SchauSpielHaus opens one hour prior to the performance and closes once the show begins. Please bear in mind that the evening box office only sells tickets for the performance on the respective evening, there is no advance sale. At the additional evening box office located in our very own bookshop you may buy tickets in advance. The box office of our venue Junges Schauspielhaus at the Gaußstraße opens one hour before the performance starts.
Please note that Tickets, which have been booked, but not yet paid for, will be released after seven days!

Family Rate: For groups of three or more, one adult pays the full price and any other person only 6,50€.
The following patron categories are entitled to reductions: school and higher education students, trainees up to 30 years old, participants in voluntary services (BFD, FSJ, FÖJ) as well as beneficiaries claiming unemployment benefits under the SGB II rules. Price reductions are granted only upon presentation of the appropriate identification or proof of entitlement. Please bring relevant identification along to the performance as it may be verified on a spot check basis upon admission. Reduced ticket prices range from 8 – 11€ and are subject to availability.
People with the rank of disability being 80 will be granted a 50% discount of single ticket prices upon proof of entitlement. In case the severely handicapped pass is classified with the marker “B“, an escort receives a 50% discount as well. The ticket price for wheelchair users adds up to 10€.
These reductions do not apply to guest performances and special events.

Owners of the NDR Kultur Karte receive a 20 % discount of single ticket prices on certain selected performances, published in the NDR Kultur Newsletter.
If you have the FamilienCard (family card) of Hamburg’s state theatres, children and teenagers under 18 only pay 6€ at the Schauspielhaus (valid for all performances at our stage SchauSpielHaus; premieres, special and guest performances are exempted). A maximum of two adults accompanying the minors receive a 10 % discount of single ticket prices. The FamilienCard is valid for one season only and costs 15€.
On certain performances selected especially for you, you benefit from an early-bird rebate of up to 10 % of single ticket prices at the time given in each case. Here you find an up-to-date overview of the current dates applying to the early-bird rebate.
The FerienPass SchauSpielHaus 2016 gives you a 50% discount on single tickets for all performances in the SchauSpielHaus* during spring break (05/03-20/03/2016), the Whitsun holidays (17/05-22/05/2016) as well as autumn break (15/10-30/10/2016). School and higher education students, trainees up to 30 years old as well as participants in voluntary services (BFD, FSJ, FÖJ) only pay 6 € in any seat.
The FerienPass is available for 10 € at the ticket office as well as online.

Free transport covering the entire network of Hamburg’s public transportation services (HVV) for the day of your performance, express bus included. The ride to the Schauspielhaus or any of our venues in that case is not limited in time. For the return fare the ticket may be used until 6 am the following day. First class is not included. You need to buy an additional ticket for that.
For the most part special events are exempt from this arrangement. Hence, please check before your journey if your admission ticket is labelled as a HVV travel ticket.
A theatre performance makes a thoughtful and creative gift! You may get gift vouchers for as little as 1 € in any desired amount. They are available at our ticket office as well as our online-shop. These vouchers are redeemable to buy admission tickets, subscriptions and promotional items at our box office and online-shop.
For any performance included in the Sonntagnachmittag-Abo (Sunday afternoon subscription) we offer professional childcare during the performance for children aged between four and ten. This offer is free of charge for our Sunday subcribers, but any other patron is equally welcome to use this service for a fee of 5€ per child.
Half an hour prior to the performance you drop your child/children off at the Steinfoyer (main lobby) and pick it/them up again at the same place after the performance. You can enjoy the play knowing your children are having a fun time. During the performance they will play under professional care in the lobby of the second balcony. Small snacks are also available by request.
