Dorothy lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry on a quiet farm in grey Kansas. She longs for a distant land beyond the rainbow. One day a gigantic hurricane drives all the farm dwellers into the storm cellar. Only Dorothy remains in the farmhouse which is carried away by the hurricane. For a moment, the world is turned upside down. Dorothy wakes up in a colourful and fantastic land called Oz. Here she makes many new friends and grows beyond herself in many ways. Barbara Bürk has staged this classic for children and world success as a humorous and poetic musical play for the whole family.
